Best time to eat
Chili is great for your high carb days! Add this one to your RE Fitness custom meal plan - best time to intake is post-workout!
- 1 pound cooked and drained ground beef (97% lean, 3% fat)
- 1 can chili beans undrained
1 can diced tomatoes
- Mix the meat, beans and tomatoes together in a large pot, bringing it to a boil and then simmering for about 30 minutes. (If you have the time, you could also combine in a slow cooker and cook on low for 4-6 hours.)
- That’s it! Enjoy with shredded cheddar cheese on top and a spoonful of sour cream, if desired.
TIP: Store in an airtight container and freeze if you don’t have time to eat it all at once! This makes an easy lunch or dinner for those days when you’re crunched for time. Just defrost and reheat!
